How do I change the music on my video?

Swap the music on any Rejig video for a track from the 42,000+ royalty free Storyblocks library, using the Music tab in the video editor.

You can swap the music on any video Rejig creates for you. Open the video in the editor, click the Music tab on the right, search or browse the Storyblocks library, then click Apply on the track you want. Every track is royalty free and included with Rejig, so there is nothing extra to pay or clear.

Watch the two minute video, or follow the steps below.

Swap the music on a video

  1. Open the video you want to change. Scroll to the bottom and click Edit.

  2. Wait for the editor to load, then click the Music tab on the far right.

  3. By default you will see the trending tracks from Storyblocks. Use the search box to find something specific, for example jazz, instrumental jazz or rock. Adding the word instrumental is the quickest way to find tracks without vocals.

  4. Click a track to hear it.

  5. When you find one you like, click Apply at the bottom of the track. The new audio replaces the old track straight away.

  6. To hear it against your video, click Play at the bottom left. To listen from the beginning, drag the green slider all the way to the left first, then click Play.

About the music library

Rejig includes access to over 42,000 royalty free tracks through our Storyblocks partnership. Two things this means in practice:

  • You have a perpetual license. There is no separate fee, no attribution requirement, and the license does not expire when you stop using a track.

  • It travels with the video. The license covers the video wherever it ends up, so you can download a video Rejig made and share it outside your connected social accounts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay for the music, or credit the artist?

No. Every track in the Music tab is royalty free and included with your Rejig subscription. There is no per track fee and no attribution requirement.

Can I use these videos on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. The Storyblocks library is licensed for use on social platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

What if YouTube flags the music for copyright anyway?

It can happen. YouTube's automated Content ID system sometimes flags a track even when you hold a valid license for it, because it is matching audio rather than checking licenses. If it happens to you, do not delete the video. Email [email protected] with a link to the video and the name of the track, and we will help you dispute the claim with the license documentation.

Can I download the video and use it somewhere else?

Yes. Your license is perpetual and covers the video wherever you use it, so you can download a Rejig video and put it in an email, on your website, in an MLS listing or anywhere else.

Can I use my own music instead?

Yes. As well as the Storyblocks library, you can use your own audio track on a video. Keep in mind that a track you supply yourself is not covered by the Storyblocks license, so you are responsible for having the rights to use it. Commercial music from a streaming service is not licensed for this and will get flagged.

Can I filter by genre, or find tracks with a male or female vocal?

Not yet. For now, searching by word works well: try a genre such as rock or a mood such as uplifting, and add instrumental to exclude vocals. More filters, including genre and vocal type, are on the way.

Does changing the music affect anything else in my video?

No. The music track is separate from your script, narration, captions and clips. Swapping it leaves everything else exactly as it was.
